Alfvénic Perturbations in a Sunspot Chromosphere Linked to Fractionated Plasma in the Corona

Abstract In this study, we investigate the spatial distribution of highly varying plasma composition around one largest sunspots solar cycle 24. Observations photosphere, chromosphere, and corona are brought together with magnetic field modeling sunspot in order to probe conditions that regulate degree fractionation within loop populations differing connectivities. We find that, coronal above umbra, has photospheric composition. Coronal loops rooted penumbra contain fractionated plasma, highest levels observed connect active region. Tracing lines from regions locations Alfvénic fluctuations detected chromosphere shows they magnetically linked. These results indicate a connection between chromospheric activity observable changes
